SAVED!
Farmhouse is by far our most popular house plan style. And four-bedroom house designs are typically appreciated by homeowners who need space, but who are also working on a budget. Generally speaking, the bigger a house is, the more it will cost to build. But four-bedroom house plans don't have to be huge. In fact, many designs below are under 2,500 sq. ft. You'll even notice a few that are under 2,000 sq. ft. Seriously!
If you do select a smaller house plan, consider choosing a basement foundation. Reason: basements can be finished at a later date, should extra space be required down the road. Optional upstairs bonus rooms are another feature to look out for if you think you might need more space in the future. Also note that smart, modern amenities, like open layouts, vaulted ceilings, and big windows can make a smaller home feel larger than it actually is.
On the other hand, maybe you don't want a smaller home. Maybe you want to build a big home with all the bells and whistles. If that's the case, you'll find plenty of designs that match that criteria below. Look for decked out primary suites, airy kitchens with islands, breakfast nooks, and walk-in pantries, and mudrooms with built-in lockers.
