SAVED!
Looking for a small (or "small-ish") single-story home design? Check out our collection of two-bedroom ranch house plans below!
It depends! Note that ranch homes are one story, so if your dream is to have a luxurious upstairs primary suite, this collection isn't for you. Likewise, if you have a large family, you'll almost certainly want to explore house plans with more than two bedrooms. But for small families, empty-nesters seeking to downsize once the kids have moved out, or anyone else seeking a simple home with minimal stairs, a two-bedroom ranch house might be exactly what the doctor ordered.
Yes! Check the floor plans carefully. Some ranch-style house plans feature basements or walkout basements, and/or optional upstairs bonus rooms. Note that we define stories as levels above ground.
Ranch homes are also often beloved for their lack of stairs (except where basements or upstairs bonus rooms are concerned). However, if you're someone who desires a cleaner separation of spaces, a two-story design might work better.
