SAVED!
Some of you might be wondering: why have two separate collections for Barndominium Plans with Garages and Barndominium Plans with Shops? Isn't a shop an extra-large garage? Yes, it is! But some barndo plans offer regular-sized garages. This collection features barndo floor plans with shops, as well as barndo designs with regular garages.
What's better? A regular garage or a shop? Well, a shop is definitely bigger, but not necessarily better. It depends on who you are. If you're a car and gadget enthusiast and need room to store two cars, two jet skis, and five motorcycles, a shop might be best for you. If you're a mechanic or wannabe mechanic with lots of tools and a desire to work on multiple vehicles, a shop might also be the best option. On the other hand, if you just have one or two cars and don't need a lot of extra storage, a regular garage will probably work just fine for you.
Inside the barndo floor plans below you'll typically find open layouts and kitchen islands. Some designs, especially shouse plans (house plans with shops), often feature a wraparound porch, which works to offset the look of the extra-large garage.
While the term barndominium is often used to refer to a metal building, this collection showcases mostly traditional wood-framed house plans with the rustic look of pole barn house plans. Some barndo designs below do feature metal framing, so review the product details carefully, and call us with any questions.
